Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, research and troubleshoot customer or specimen problems, and send test requests to proper locations. Release test results, assist clients with specimen inquiries, and process samples for external facilities. Perform sample sorting, racking, and retrieving while maintaining clean and safe work environments. Prepare record logs efficiently. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 3 AM to 11:30 AM. High School Diploma or GED required; current or prior Labcorp experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortability with handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Well organized and a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- Current or prior Labcorp experience
- 1 year or more of experience in a medical / clinical laboratory experience
