Job Summary
Referee/Official for Youth Sports at the YMCA Downtown Orlando; responsible for enforcing game rules across basketball, soccer and volleyball, maintaining score sheets, delivering the youth sports pledge before games, ensuring games start on time, maintaining safety, explaining calls to coaches and players, adjusting equipment and game setup as needed, and participating in staff training and YMCA program promotion. Focus on fair play, positive environment, and effective communication with participants and parents.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16 with work permit
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 60 days of hire
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
