Job Summary
Enforce rules, sportsmanship, and safety while refereeing youth sports games and teaching age-appropriate basic rules. Develop players through teaching moments, start games on time, and set up and clean up game spaces. Manage coaches, welcome families and players, address safety concerns, and assist in coach recruitment and training. Respond to emergency situations per YMCA policy, complete incident reporting, and attend seasonal meetings and trainings. Provide exceptional customer service to foster connections with members.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- valid work permit required if a minor
- Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire
- Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Previous related experience preferred
