Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Thermo King, Carrier, and other refrigeration equipment for trucks, trailers, and containers with little or no supervision. Diagnose and replace compressors, coils, and electrical components using diagnostic tools to flash controllers and resolve alarms. Record all work performed via repair orders and submit them daily while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Adhere to established procedures for tracking assignments and ensuring timely completion according to company regulations. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local safety standards. Work a Monday through Friday schedule with some overtime, including mandatory emergency after-hours on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience with transport refrigeration or heavy truck repair with diesel engine and mobile air conditioning repair experience
- Maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the employer's insurance policy
- Familiar with Thermo King, Carrier, and other transport refrigeration equipment
- Have good verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Certified to use refrigerants, R134a, R404, R410, and others as needed
- Must be willing to be in an emergency after-hours on-call rotation
- Willingness to perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management
