Job Summary
Perform timely repairs and maintenance on diesel-powered reefer units, including diagnosing and troubleshooting refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues. Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) and service on A/C and refrigeration systems, while conducting DOT inspections and trailer repairs when units are in working condition. Accurately document repairs, complete work orders, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow all safety procedures and collaborate with supervisors to support fleet operations. Requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, EPA Section 608 Certification, and ability to work independently or as part of a team in a mobile environment. Tuesday-Saturday 10pm-6:30am shifts with weekly pay.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' of hands-on experience working on reefer units and trailer refrigeration systems
- Strong proficiency and working knowledge of reefer (diesel-powered refrigeration) units, PMs, and A/C systems
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Required experience repairing refrigeration units (diesel engine) on heavy-duty trailers
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
- Ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace
