Job Summary
Own day-to-day accounting for the Swedish legal entity, including accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with Swedish accounting standards, manage year-end closing, and handle tax filings and statutory compliance. Lead external audits and maintain financial controls while acting as the primary contact for accounting inquiries. Drive continuous improvement of the NetSuite ERP system and provide financial guidance to non-finance colleagues across Europe. Review forecasts, validate variance analysis, and support strategic planning initiatives. Fluency in Swedish and English is required.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis
- Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting regulations, tax legislation, and statutory reporting requirements (Årsredovisningslagen)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience from an NGO, non-profit, or international organisation
- Experience working with grants, donor reporting, and restricted funding environments
- Experience working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience
- Experience using AI tools to improve or streamline finance processes
