Job Summary
Provide non-medical in-home care to clients with developmental disabilities and/or seniors in King County; implement assigned clients’ Plan of Care; assist with daily living activities (feeding, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, positioning); supervise and guide clients as needed; assist family with housekeeping, shopping, meal planning and preparation, and providing transportation; provide protective supervision and respite care within the client’s living situation or appropriate community location; maintain accurate time sheets and adhere to SAILS Washington policies; require English communication, independence, and ability to work with vulnerable individuals; requires background check, valid WA driver's license, and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be physically and mentally capable of caring for an individual who is ill, infirm, disabled or vulnerable
- Must pass a Washington State background check
- Maintain active WA Driver License and Auto Insurance
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (documentation required)
- Complete and pass the background check screening upon hire and every two years thereafter
- Maintain active Certified Home Care Aide (HCA) Training and Nurse Delegation and other required certifications
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually
