Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, service, and perform preventative maintenance on mobile HVAC systems installed on heavy mining equipment, including haul trucks, dozers, loaders, and excavators. Work independently in remote industrial environments supporting mining operations in Fort McMurray while adhering to safe work practices. Cross-train on vehicle fire suppression systems to expand your skill set. This field-based role features a 14/14 FIFO rotation with flights and accommodations fully provided, offering skilled professionals a stable opportunity to work on challenging industrial equipment outside traditional service settings.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (HVAC) certification
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Ability to work independently in remote industrial environments
- Commitment to safe work practices
- 14/14 FIFO rotation – work only half the year
