Job Summary
Senior Red Hat Linux Systems Administrator responsible for managing and optimizing large-scale Linux server infrastructure (Ubuntu & RHEL) across production and development environments. Collaborates with DevOps, Network, and Software teams to implement automation, maintain uptime, security, and performance. Tasks include server provisioning and hardening, kernel updates and patch management, user access and security policy management, backup/recovery planning, troubleshooting OS/network issues, configuration management with Ansible/Puppet, monitoring and capacity planning, disaster recovery and incident response, and maintaining comprehensive documentation and SOPs. Requires 5+ years of Linux administration, strong Bash scripting and automation skills, experience with Nagios/Zabbix/Prometheus, networking fundamentals, virtualization/containerization experience (VMware/KVM/Docker), familiarity with Git and CI/CD, and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Preferred RHCSA/RHCE certifications and experience with HA clusters, load balancing, RAID, and enterprise-scale infrastructure, along with strong ownership, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu & Red Hat)
- Bash scripting and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Python basics)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, firewalls)
- Virtualization and containerization (VMware, KVM, Docker)
- Experience with CI/CD and version control (Git)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
