Recycling Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversees nonferrous receiving, processing, and shipping operations; ensures Health & Safety compliance with OSHA and company policies; develops and implements safety SOPs; coordinates with supervisory staff, commercial operations, peers, and subordinates to maximize processing capacity and profitability; manages inventory, staffing, equipment utilization, and workflow layouts; communicates with the buying group for material procurement; enforces process and quality standards to meet or exceed specifications; provides training and safety governance through the Safety Committee; supports budgeting, forecasting, and coordination with MRB NF Operations Committee; requires High School Diploma or equivalent, 3 years in metal recycling, valid driver’s license, and supervisory capability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years metal recycling industry experience
- valid driver’s license
- Thorough knowledge of NF Materials Grading
- good judgment and interpersonal communications
- self-starter and good organizational skills
- ability to negotiate
- past supervisory experience a plus
