Recycling Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise a maintenance shop for a recycling center, directing a technician team responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of fixed/mobile equipment and building systems. Conduct daily debriefs, coach and evaluate technicians, participate in hiring/termination decisions, perform training and performance reviews, oversee quality control inspections, inventory, and budgeting for parts and expenses. Maintain advanced knowledge of stationary recycling equipment, engines, vehicle control systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical systems, and welding tools; ensure safety, compliance with federal/state regulations, and safe, timely completion of work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in the recycling, transportation, disposal or related industry
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA and other federal and state regulations
