Job Summary
Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials while inspecting and sorting items in dock and collection areas. Maintain clean work areas and use proper personal protective equipment, complying with all safety rules and policies. Perform repetitive tasks in a team, maintaining logs and schedules while supporting shift leads on punch-list items. Lift and move up to 35 pounds frequently. Work Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM at a rate of $14.75 to $15.75 per hour. CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus, and forklift or hazardous waste handling training may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willing to share with team
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift certified
- Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA
- Bilingual
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Completed all safety and task training certification
