Job Summary
GMP Recycle Technician is responsible for the recycle, reuse, and reclamation program. Performs safety-compliant, team-based task execution; collects, salvages, sorts, and inspects reusable or waste materials; maintains logs, dock and collection areas; and follows all company procedures while presenting a professional appearance and communicating with supervisors, coworkers, and customers. Requires adherence to safety rules, use of PPE, and understanding of environmental reporting; may require CPR/AED/First Aid certification, forklift certification, Hazardous Waste Handling Training, and a valid driver’s license. Shift is 6am-6pm with a 2-on/2-off pattern; SBM offers comprehensive benefits and is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experience – preferred
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
- May be required to have a valid driver’s license
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- May be required to be forklift certified
- May be required to have Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA
