Job Summary
Provide work direction and assistance to techs as directed by the supervisor while maintaining clean work areas and complying with safety rules. Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials, inspect and sort materials, and maintain dock and collection areas using proper personal protective equipment. Maintain logs and schedules, support the shift lead in completing punch-list items, and talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner. Work alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays through Saturdays from 5 PM to 3:30 AM at $17.00-$18.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift certification
- Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willing to share with team
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Bilingual
- Completed all safety and task training certification
