Job Summary
Lead high-profile construction infrastructure projects from initiation to handover in Adelaide and surrounding areas; coordinate the RFT/tender processes with technical SMEs to compile and issue tender packages; plan, deliver and review projects through all phases; negotiate and manage contracts with contractors; identify and mitigate commercial risks and manage claims/disputes; ensure compliance with contractual obligations and safety/regulatory requirements; lead risk assessments (HAZOP) and safety management plans; oversee site works, commissioning, and operational readiness; manage procurement and supplier performance; drive project progress, milestones, risks, schedule, quality, and cost; requires a Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field and 10+ years of experience in construction infrastructure projects; strong autonomy, stakeholder management, and commercial capabilities; offers flexible/hybrid working arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing construction infrastructure projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $20M
- Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of site works and construction projects from initiation through completion
- Strong self-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and communications independently
- Strong commercial acumen with budgeting, contract negotiation, and cost-saving opportunities
