Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist

Job Summary

Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals and workforce plans. Partner with hiring managers to anticipate needs, source candidates through outbound channels, and manage full-cycle activities including screening, high-volume interviews, and offer negotiation. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates while providing trusted advisor support on market insights and assessment strategies. Own the pre-boarding and onboarding experience by coordinating Day 1 orientation, conducting Week 1 and Month 1 check-ins, and championing continuous improvement of integration processes. Maintain ownership of the Applicant Tracking System, track monthly recruitment metrics, and monitor employer brand presence. Provide backup support for HR Operations, assist with training initiatives, and represent the organization at recruitment events.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience within a Human Resources function
  • Demonstrated experience in Recruitment, Staffing, Workforce Planning, and Onboarding
  • Proven success building trusted partnerships with hiring managers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong track record of managing recruitment processes and multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • High comfort level with frequent phone-based communication and live interviews
  • Experience managing and optimizing ATS platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze recruitment metrics and translate data into action
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment regulations
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with conflict management and stakeholder influence
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outgoing, approachable, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and follow-through
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract (for roles involving the operation of a company motor vehicle)
  • Must be able to complete background screening, including criminal record checks where permitted by law and where relevant to the position
