Job Summary
Recruit learners onto the Study Programme by engaging with Local Authorities, NEET teams, schools, and referring agencies to forge links and complete initial interviews and eligibility checks. Support learners through their programme by conducting regular 1-2-1 progress reviews, liaising with teaching staff to create bespoke learner journeys, and carrying out home visits when necessary. Sourcing work placements in the local area by developing strong links with employers, matching learners to the right opportunities, and supporting them through site visits and check-in sessions. Work with placement providers to understand their roles in supporting student development.
Required Qualifications
- At least a Level 2 Qualification in English and Maths
- Full driving licence
- Use of a car for work purposes
- Experience working in an education or vocational training setting
- demonstrable knowledge of the challenges of working in such a setting
- Good practical knowledge of common ICT software packages
- especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Able to engage, inspire and motivate young people to be at their best
- Strong communication and engagement skills
- Able to form strong connections with professionals and other partners
- to motivate them to work collaboratively in the best interests of our learners
- Proven experience of engaging with appropriate stakeholders for recruitment and progressions
- Willingness to travel quite frequently within the local area
- occasionally further afield
- sometimes with overnight stays
- Willingness to work additional hours from time to time
- when there is a need to 'get the job done'
- This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
