Job Summary
Plan and implement the Summer Associate Program, including on-boarding, off-boarding, work assignments, evaluations, advisor programs, budget tracking, and event planning. Maintain the recruiting database, applicant tracking system, and generate correspondence and statistical reporting. Coordinate law school on-campus recruiting programs and manage outreach efforts at assigned schools. Work with local hiring partners and employment committees to coordinate callback interviews and the offer process for 1L and 2L candidates. Assist with all local lawyer on-boarding, off-boarding, and status changes. This role supports entry-level and lateral associate hiring, special projects, and extensive daily contact with lawyers, staff, vendors, and law schools. Occasional travel and evening or weekend availability are required.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- At least two years of legal recruiting experience
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Highly organized, meticulously-detail oriented, while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple assignments, and work responsibly under pressure
- Highly resourceful team-player
- Polite and respectful of others
- Ability to speak and act professionally at all times and maintain a professional appearance
- Minimum of three days per week present in the office
- Ability to routinely lift and carry file folders or other materials weighing up to 5-10 pounds
- Ability to work at a computer for considerable periods of time
- Ability to lift, squat, kneel and bend
- Ability to visit face-to-face and on the phone with lateral lawyer candidates and firm lawyers
- Ability to perform essential duties of the position with time constraints and frequent interruptions
