Job Summary
Recruiter (Manufacturing focused) responsible for providing full life-cycle recruitment across the US AFL footprint, including sourcing, interviewing, assessing, and referring applicants for professional opportunities. Leverages relationships with local high schools, vocational schools, and technical colleges to lead internship/apprentice and Techn Scholar programs, and manages external staffing relationships for contingent manufacturing support. Responsibilities include writing compelling job postings, prescreening candidates, coordinating ATS workflows (UKG/UltiPro), conducting interviews, coordinating offers, and supporting job fairs and recruitment activities. Partners with hiring managers and functional leaders to source and evaluate candidates, stay current on recruiting practices and employment law, and drive continuous process improvement. Requires hybrid in-office schedule after training, with local travel between plants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; Associate’s degree and commensurate experience required.
- 3-5 years of experience in Recruiting preferred
- 1-3 years of manufacturing organization experience in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or Technical related field preferred
- Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interviewing, evaluation and assessment skills
- Experience with ATS and HRIS systems (UKG/UltiPro preferred)
- Personal Qualities: Superb attention to detail and good record keeping skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
- Team player; high level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy
- Take initiative and seeks additional training or direction as needed
