Job Summary
The Recruiter/Home Developer role centers on coordinating Pathways’ home verification process, including recruiting and screening prospective foster/adoptive families, training, and guiding them through home studies and verification. Responsibilities include facilitating orientations and trainings in-person, online, and via Audio/Visual applications; assessing and recommending families post-background checks and training; leading recruitment activities and joint events with partner agencies; responding to inquiries within 48 hours; providing application materials and onboarding support; ensuring timely background checks and documentation; coordinating home visits and home studies with contracted writers; maintaining compliance and progress tracking (onboarding, inspections, pre-verification documentation); participating in staffing and court-related meetings; and assisting potential foster families to remain in compliance with Pathways policies. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, GoTo Meeting, and other software, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to train and present information effectively to families and staff. The role is primarily community-based with office activities and offers flexible work hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or at least three years full-time experience in a child-placing agency
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Professional Qualifications – At least two years of documented full-time experience in a child-placing agency
Additional Requirements
- Proof of valid Texas Driver's License (Type C) and at least three years of driving experience
- Access to reliable transportation
- Proof of valid/current auto insurance
- Cleared motor vehicle driving record
- Three employment references
- Cleared criminal background check and signed statement regarding felony indictments/convictions
- Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment)
- Cleared pre-employment drug test
