Job Summary
Manage a designated recruitment territory focusing on North Las Vegas high schools, the College of Southern Nevada, and northern Nevada outreach. Develop relationships with high school counselors and administrators while recruiting first-year students through visits, college fairs, and on-campus programs. Conduct admissions presentations, scholarship workshops, and parent sessions to guide prospective families through the enrollment process. Support the Direct Admissions Program and transfer recruitment initiatives, including events at the College of Southern Nevada. Maintain communication via phone, email, and text to encourage application completion and enrollment. Document activities, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with campus partners to achieve enrollment goals. Travel throughout the territory, including evenings and weekends, to support peak recruitment times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in higher education, K-12 education, business, communication or related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to give effective and engaging presentations to both small and large groups
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders
- Strong commitment to the recruitment and success of a largely diverse first-generation student population (including both first-year and transfer students)
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle registration
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas)
- Must meet the posted minimum qualifications at the time of application in order to be considered for the position
- Must be able to perform job-related tasks
- Must be able to travel throughout the assigned recruitment territory, including some evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in marketing, sales, or public relations
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience in higher education setting, particularly as a first-year or transfer recruiter
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar student information system and Element451 or similar customer relations management (CRM) platform
- Experience in coordinating and managing events of varying sizes
