Recreational Therapist - Psych - Full-Time

Works independently to plan, develop, and implement therapeutic recreation programs for patients to enhance cognitive, physical, and emotional recovery through the development of appropriate leisure skills. The position requires a graduate of an accredited recreational therapy program and the successful completion of a patient care orientation within 30 days of hire. Additionally, completion of a nonviolent crisis intervention training program within 120 days is needed. Preferred skills include applied physical skills, though they are not mandatory. This role contributes to the behavioral health care provided in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
