Recreational Therapist

Provides patient care through recreational therapy and leisure services to support interdisciplinary treatment goals; conducts patient assessments to determine functioning and recreational interests; plans and implements age- and culturally appropriate recreational programs aligned with treatment planning and discharge goals; documents patient progress and participates in treatment conferences and coordination of care; maintains CPR and CPI certifications; conducts regular group activities to facilitate social integration; assists in coordinating department operations and may supervise therapeutic recreational intern students; occasionally transports patients to outings and uses the department's resources to support therapy goals.
