Job Summary
Plan and implement recreation activities for patients in accordance with organizational guidelines and professional standards. Provide therapeutic recreation interventions for an assigned caseload, ensuring all patients are oriented to therapy and hospital-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs. Educate patients on community resources. This per diem role at Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton supports individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and neurological disorders. Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and BLS are required.
Required Qualifications
- Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
- Certified BLS
- completion in first 90 days of employment
