Job Summary
Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services for inmates and youth to promote social interaction and prepare them for reentry. Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to coordinate services with clinicians and custody personnel. Evaluate therapy needs regarding activities of daily living, communication skills, physical exercise, and coping strategies. Requires CTRS certification and one year of experience. Schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm at the Wasco, CA facility. Orientation lasts 1-2 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Certified as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
- 1 Full-Year of experience as a licensed CTRS
