Job Summary
Facilitate non-team gymnastics classes and teach specific movements to age-appropriate participants while maintaining a safe work environment. Plan group sessions, assist in member retention through customer service, and support the Annual Campaign fundraising program. Attend required department and individual trainings, and perform other duties as assigned. Uphold Judeo-Christian principles by modeling caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days and pass a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid
- pass a criminal background check
- obtain authorization to work with children under the Georgia Department of Labor and YMCA guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Gymnastics certification
- one to two years of gymnastics teaching
- Sound working knowledge of accepted fitness standards and practices including gymnastic techniques
- Ability to foster positive staff, peers, and program participants
