Job Summary
Oversee daily household activities and collaborate with the Household Care Aide, Multi-Service Worker, and care team to provide residents with a safe, pleasant, and homelike environment. Support meal planning and care planning, engage residents in activities, assist with planning and signing up for clubs and community offerings, coordinate transportation as needed, and communicate resident preferences and observations to the care team and MRN. Lead or participate in regular club activities and assist with administrative tasks such as documenting activities and coordinating with residents, families, and community resources. Emphasizes enabling residents to participate in chosen activities, hobbies, and meaningful daily pleasures while maintaining privacy and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Completion of recognized recreational courses such as handicrafts
- two years' recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Valid Class 4 vehicle license (unrestricted)
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out duties
- Ability to teach
- Ability to organize work
