Job Summary
Assist in identifying residents' Leisure Lifestyle goals and present individualized Recreation Program Schedules, ensuring revisions are communicated as needs change. Transport residents to offsite activities using a provided vehicle and approach residents to request participation in programs per care plans. Ensure recreational programming is carried out appropriately, document resident participation, and participate in environmental safety audits. Assist in monthly Recreation Calendar planning and maintain regular inventory of craft and storage rooms. Work full-time with a Class 4 Driver's License required. Required Qualifications
- RTA certificate or diploma
- Class 4 Drivers License or willing to obtain one within 90 days of hire
- Must possess strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- Heart saver CPR & Standard Level First Aide certification an asset
- Preference will be given to those with experience in a Recreation Therapy setting
