Job Summary
Recreation Therapist at Northern Rivers Family of Services provides therapeutic recreation support to youth in a Residential Treatment Facility, conducting assessments, planning and facilitating individual and group activities, coordinating with the RTF team, maintaining facilities and supplies, ensuring compliance with COA/IOC/OMH standards, completing documentation, and involving families throughout treatment and discharge planning. The role requires on-site work with some community-based activities, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, CTRS licensure or eligibility, 2+ years of experience, physical ability, and completion of TCI training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Counseling, Outdoor Education or related field
- CTRS licensure or eligible to obtain
- 2 or more years of related experience
- Must pass the required physical
- Must be able to complete TCI training
