Recreation Specialist-Lor

Provides recreation/non-vocational activities for assigned students; assists in planning and formulating student recreation/avocational activities with emphasis on safety; instructs and encourages student participation in recreation/avocational equipment; coaches or supervises sports activities; ensures equipment and work areas are clean and maintained per Center, CSD, and DOL standards, including property counts and relocation requests; conducts daily safety checks and reports issues; leads larger recreational trips including bus trips (CDL required); ensures timely professional service to students and staff; maintains confidentiality and supports emergency services; may provide training on equipment use; may participate in Center HEALS program; may present Recreation Overview to new students; organizes and directs recreation/non-vocational activities; supervises activities on and off center; may order supplies and equipment; may conduct water safety training and supervise swimming/watersport activities (Lifeguard Certification Required); performs other duties as assigned; available shift Thursday through Saturday 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM with meal breaks.
