Job Summary
Develop and implement recreational programs for adults in temporary housing facilities to foster socialization and support physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Ensure services for residents with special needs are available through existing curricula or external linkages while encouraging full participation in the shelter environment. Engage in aggressive community outreach to secure service linkages, in-kind donations, and resources, and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all participants. Create a resource guide of local free and inexpensive recreational options and develop a budget covering operational needs and wish lists. This role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, strong organization and communication skills, and computer literacy. Compensation is hourly at $20.39 with health insurance through Cigna, generous PTO, and a 401(k) with company contribution.
