Job Summary
The Associate Manager Recreation position is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Fieldhouse facility and Recreation Services. Essential duties include hiring, training, and supervising year-round and seasonal recreation personnel; overseeing athletics, aquatics, fitness, and other recreation programs for youth, adults, and seniors; managing staff and resources; formulating operational procedures; monitoring effectiveness and implementing improvements; coordinating with district departments and external partners; managing budgets and expenditures; and ensuring compliance with policies. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least four years of related recreation experience (two years in a supervisory role), plus CPR and First Aid certification within six months of hire; CPRP certification is preferred. Remote workdays may be available after six months, with on-site work and potential hybrid arrangements; duties are performed in a general office setting or remote location as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four (4) years of related experience in community recreation programs or facilities or the equivalent, two (2) of which must be supervisory
- CPR and First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks
