Job Summary
Lead engaging, safe, and inclusive multi-sport programs for children ages 2 to 8, covering basketball, soccer, hockey, and baseball. Provide clear demonstrations and positive coaching while adapting activities to diverse learning styles and abilities. Prepare program spaces, manage equipment, and ensure a clean, sanitary environment before and after each session. Build relationships with participants, parents, and staff through effective communication and customer service. Submit monthly program plans, track attendance, and attend meetings to provide feedback on program effectiveness. Support special events, camps, and club-wide initiatives as required. Work variable shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with total compensation ranging from $50 to $100 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum grade 12
- Over two years of teaching experience in Recreation Sport Programs
- First Aid and C.P.R. certification
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Ability to work variable shifts; evenings, weekends and holidays
- Criminal background check and vulnerable sector search demonstrating a satisfactory criminal record
