Recreation Operations Assistant I - Recreation

Responsible for the smooth functioning of recreation centers, undertaking a diverse range of administrative tasks and program management responsibilities. Collaborates with colleagues to organize activities for programming, promotes community involvement, and ensures the center's cleanliness and presentation. May oversee certain programs and provide recreational services for seniors, adults, and children. Enforces safety regulations and facilitates transportation and meal services for after-school programming. Demonstrates active engagement with patrons, addresses inquiries, and ensures a positive experience for all visitors. Works under minimal supervision; can set own work sequence within department limitations. Knowledgeable of laws and regulations pertaining to youth activities; provides youth leadership in group activities and interacts with children. Ability to use independent judgment during emergencies and effectively interact with management, staff, and the public.
