Job Summary
Develop, plan, organize, and direct the implementation of activity and recreation programs in accordance with state, federal guidelines, company policies, and the comprehensive assessment of each resident's physical, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being. Design programs tailored to the unique interests and needs of the adult population within a long-term care setting. This role requires 2-4 years of experience delivering activity therapy in a healthcare environment, knowledge of nursing practices and regulations, and the ability to adapt to change while meeting deadlines. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a clear DMV record and be insurable under the company's policy.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years' experience working with an adult population in healthcare setting, delivering activity therapy
- Valid driver's license
- Clear DMV record
- Insurable under Company's insurance policy
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the job
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to change
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college
- Certification or training in therapeutic recreation
- Supervisory experience
- Previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment
