Job Summary
Plan, promote, and evaluate social, recreational, and therapeutic programs for residents; manage the volunteer program including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing evaluation; build community partnerships to support programming and fundraising; coordinate communications (newsletters, posters, calendars) and collaborate with department heads to execute resident-centered activities; ensure spaces and supplies are organized and safe; leverage Microsoft Office and Canva for engagement materials; deliver a variety of activities and outings to support senior wellness and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- Administrative Assistant Certification
- Event Planning
- Diploma in Marketing
- Certificate or diploma from a recognized recreation program or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and lead engaging programs that support resident wellness and quality of life
- Resourceful and community-minded; able to build partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and schools to support community connection
