Job Summary
Provide physical, mental, and spiritual activities tailored to the individual abilities, needs, and desires of residents to enable them to enjoy the highest quality of life. Design programs that address diverse preferences while maintaining a warm, compassionate, homelike environment. Work a full-time schedule from 8:00am to 4:00pm, including every other weekend. Maintain a current driver's license in good standing, with a Commercial Driver's License and Passenger Endorsement potentially required within six months. This role supports the highest quality nursing care at a facility recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" for four consecutive years.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation, Creative Arts Therapy or in related field
- Certified - ADC within (1) one year
- Current driver's license in good standing
- Flu vaccine
Desired Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation, Creative Arts Therapy or in related field preferred
- be certified or eligible for certification as an Activity Director Certified - ADC
- Minimum two years' experience in long term care and/or dementia care preferred
