Job Summary
Plan, promote, organize and administer a recreation program component (e.g., youth/adult sports, gymnastics, aquatics, therapeutics); coordinate operations including program design, scheduling, registrations, staff hiring/scheduling, budgeting, and public marketing; select and develop staff, contractors, and volunteers; maintain program records and budgets; act as technical adviser to management; adapt programs to community needs; introduce new activities and equipment; serve as a community recreation ambassador in meetings; collaborate with volunteers, contractors, and other City departments; may require evenings, weekends, holidays; may include 24-hour emergency shifts; requires an Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) and 2 years related experience (or equivalent), CPR and First Aid certifications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and recreation software.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) and 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- CPR certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Working knowledge of recreation registration software.
