Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver recreation activities for individuals with disabilities, assist the Site Manager in creating meaningful opportunities and diverse programming, and independently facilitate activities at recreation sites and in the community. Ensure safe use of facilities and equipment, administer emergency first aid when needed, prepare spaces for program use, and maintain supplies. Maintain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguard, Van Driving) and communicate with parents/guardians to resolve behavioral issues. Collaborate with permit-holders and other building users to provide on-site support, and contribute to grant-related documentation and reporting. Provide a safe, organized, clean environment and act as a professional representative of CDS Life Transitions in accordance with policies and mission.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Recreation/Leisure Services, Physical Education or Human Services preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- NYS Driver’s License required
- CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguard certifications
