Job Summary
Oversee daily bookings and programs for the multi-use gymnasium, Sportzone, and Hub while assisting and instructing sports programs, camps, and community initiatives. Ensure member safety and fair play during participation, accurately report accidents, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment across assigned areas. Manage administrative duties including front desk monitoring, phone calls, class registrations, and RPOS charges, while promoting department events and providing regular feedback to supervisory staff. Punctually open and close facilities using appropriate security procedures, working flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in camps, sports programs and community programs
- Minimum grade 12 high school education
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, handles multiple priorities with strong organizational skills
- Team oriented, enthusiastic, creative, well-groomed, pleasant telephone manner, reliable, punctual
- Flexible to work variable shifts; evenings, weekends and holidays
- Perform a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector search demonstrating a satisfactory criminal record
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Recreation & Leisure Services or a related area of study from a recognized college or university
