Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and coordinate meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents to promote physical, mental, and social well-being. Design and facilitate structured and impromptu programs for individuals and groups in common areas and resident rooms; escort residents on group trips; monitor changes in residents’ needs and preferences to tailor activities; generate and manage program supply lists and ensure safe operation of equipment; collect and record information for assessments; maintain documentation (attendance, progress notes, assessment forms, care plans, and MDS documentation); participate in team discussions, care conferences, and scheduling to support resident programming.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Six months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred
- Pass preemployment screening including fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references
