Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate recreation and leisure programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and cultural needs of residents. Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote resident awareness and participation in opportunities while modeling the organization's mission, vision, and values. Work as a professional team player to uphold ethical traditions in all actions and decision-making. This role requires a Recreation Aide Certificate or Diploma, a valid Class 4 driver's license, and current First Aid and CPR certification. One to two years of Therapeutic Recreation experience is preferred. The position offers an hourly rate between $24 and $28.16, with a start date of September 1, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Recreation Aide Certificate / Diploma
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Ability to maintain good working relations with staff, public and outside agencies
- Flexibility with changes in the organization and maintain a positive outlook
- Valid/current First Aid and CPR
- All employees new to Covenant Care must provide a criminal record check not older than 3 months
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) to two (2) years of Therapeutic Recreation experience
