Job Summary
Provide recreation services and programs for residents, including organizing crafts (ceramics, needlework, woodwork), decorating, escorting residents to the Recreation area, and coordinating games/activities; assist with scheduling movies and parties; encourage participation in group and individual activities, including religious services and social events; complete required documentation in the resident’s medical record; this role requires basic English proficiency, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to make independent decisions as situations warrant; training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
