Job Summary
Implement group and individual life enrichment programs including exercise classes, crafts, social activities, outings, and sensory stimulation. Assist with feeding residents, set up activity areas, and transport residents to programs and meals. Monitor resident behavior and condition during activities, reporting significant changes to supervisors and nursing staff. Maintain program and resident records, report participation to registered staff, and participate in multi-disciplinary care conferences. Adhere to sanitation, safety, and infection control policies while complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Work cooperatively with other departments under direct supervision for a 21-month term at 52.5 hours bi-weekly.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year progressive related experience
- 2 year diploma in Recreation and Leadership, or equivalent
