Job Summary
Recovery Technician role supporting safety and wellbeing of adult inpatient behavioral health patients within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities include observing patients, documenting daily logs, coordinating transport and meal/transition times, conducting patient observation rounds, promoting recreational activities, maintaining a clean and structured environment, collaborating with clinical and medical staff, facilitating activity and education groups, assisting with discharge and treatment planning, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Requires de-escalation skills, strong communication, organization, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced clinical setting. Also includes ensuring safety during emergencies and participating in HIPAA-compliant practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing
- Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands
- Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
