Job Summary
Conduct patient observation rounds, monitor behaviors, and interact routinely with patients while communicating significant observations to clinical staff. Maintain daily schedules and structure around transport, meal, and transition times; oversee and manage the safe transport of patients to and from facilities. Complete timely paperwork including daily logs and forms, document client care and behavior, and facilitate activity and education group sessions. Assist with treatment and discharge planning, promote recreational outings, and ensure facility cleanliness under leadership direction. Utilize de-escalation skills for volatile clients and respond to emergency situations with administrative staff. Provide a positive, supportive environment by modeling professional communication and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with established policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing
- Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands
- Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
- Must be available for Sunday, Monday, &Tuesday 9am-9:30pm
- Must be available for Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 9am-9:30pm
