Job Summary
Recovery Support Specialist role at The HUB in Manchester, CT focusing on assisting clients to identify and advocate for recovery goals, employing motivational interventions, conducting assessments and person-centered treatment planning, providing skills teaching, crisis intervention, and case management in collaboration with client supports; involves connecting clients to behavioral health resources, addressing Social Determinants of Health, and supporting family involvement where appropriate. The position requires lived recovery experience, CPSRP or equivalent certification within 6 months, and a valid driver’s license. Duties include documentation, staff meetings, supervision, and other assigned duties, with compensation starting at $19.28/hour (min) and depending on experience; full-time schedule Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, located in Manchester, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s) as required by position.
- Experience: 2+ years working with identified populations and specifically as an CPSRP (formerly RSS) preferred.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Peer Support & Recovery Specialist (CPSRP) from Advocacy Unlimited, Recovery Coach Certification from CCAR, or an equivalent certification related to the field of Recovery Support required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
