Job Summary
Recovery Support Specialist role focused on delivering mentoring and non-clinical support to individuals and families in behavioral health services. Responsibilities include mentoring and coordinating with clinical staff, assisting designated clinical personnel with support activities, educating and supporting family members, planning and organizing activities within the outpatient structure, completing daily paperwork and clinical record documentation, collaborating with clinical teams and case managers to advocate for clients, transporting clients in SB&H vehicles, and potentially covering evening/weekend hours and being on call. Role may involve weekly clinical overnight participation in accordance with ADHS requirements and transporting members to appointments. Additional duties may be required to meet program needs. The position emphasizes skills training, case management support, group facilitation, and linkage to community resources to promote lifelong recovery goals. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or GED plus behavioral health experience, with preferred completion of an associate degree or coursework in Human Services, Counseling, or Psychology; and includes a valid AZ driver’s license and fingerprint clearance.”,
Required Qualifications
- Must be 22-year age, High School diploma/GED plus six weeks (240hrs) of behavioral health experience.
- Successful completion of a qualified Peer Support Training is required within the 90 days of hire.
- Required to maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and pass motor vehicle screening for insurance purposes in order to transport clients, based upon need/requirements of the clinic and/or program.
- Prior experience as a recipient of Behavioral Health services.
- Must have fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire (as required per program requirements)
