Job Summary
Provide patient supervision in a safe, therapeutic setting while ensuring execution of program policies and staff safety. Conduct appropriate interventions, observe and document patient behaviors, and maintain accurate records in electronic healthcare systems. Facilitate patient transportation to off-site appointments and perform routine facility checks, including patient and property searches. Monitor adherence to the day-to-day program schedule and conduct urine testing as required. Assume lead duties for assigned shifts and attend all mandatory training and staff meetings. Maintain effective communication across clinical, medical, culinary, and administrative departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Registered as an Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor recognized by The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
- Certified as an Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor recognized by The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
- Valid California Drivers' License
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy
- Must maintain a valid California Drivers' License
- Have proof of automobile insurance
- Maintain a safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy
- Weekend Coverage
- All required staff training sessions
- All training on time
- Program and all staff meetings
- Adherence to and promotion of the Phoenix House Mission, Vision, and Values
- Acting as a role model for others
- Lead duties for shift(s) as assigned
- Demonstrated commitment and adherence to Phoenix House Mission, Vision, and Values
- Proficiency in MS Office systems
- Ability to utilize an electronic healthcare record
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
- Ability to establish and consistently enforce appropriate boundaries with patients
- Ability to model positive behavior and demeanor
- Understanding of addiction, co-occurring models, and treatment modalities

Desired Qualifications
- Six months prior experience in a related field
