Job Summary
Conduct peer support services for individuals, families, and significant others presenting for care to minimize emotional impact and increase recovery likelihood. Coordinate discharge planning by ensuring coordination with all parties involved in the patient's case and engaging family and social supports identified in the treatment plan. Assist in the transition to the most appropriate level of care in conjunction with the established treatment team. Provide experience, strength, and hope to support patients experiencing substance use crises in a recovery-oriented environment. Requires minimum of six months of recovery from substance use or mental health disorders, high school diploma or GED, and health care related experience preferred. Hourly rate $21–$27.77.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher
- Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations
